My name is Emma Rouanet, and I am the vice-president and PR & Sponsoring commissioner of Uros.

So here is a bit about myself to get to know me better:

I am from France and I am 20 years old.

I have been doing track and field since I am 7 years old, I started by training basically every discipline, but later on I specialized in long distance, which I have been doing ever since. Despite a long-lasting injury, which prevents me to train as much as I would like, I can’t seem to abandon the track just yet.

In my free time, when I am not studying, training, or working for Uros, I still love to engage in any type of sporty activity (partying is part of those), as well as reading, or watching documentaries and tv-shows. I also really enjoy hanging out and having dinners with friends, so there is a good chance to see me walking around somewhere with cheese, bread or wine (or all of those) in my hands, so cliché…

I am currently in my third year of bachelor, studying economics with a focus on emerging markets. As soon as I decided to come study in Maastricht, I looked for athletics associations, so as soon as I arrived, I joined Uros. And because I’ve been in Uros since day 1, it is today also my third year in the association, and now I am happy to have the opportunity to bring my contribution to it, as a board member.

I am very enthusiastic to be in the board this year, and I want to put all my efforts in to make Uros more visible and known to everyone, so that no one misses out on the fun of being an Urosian! Despite the difficulties we are all facing this year, my amazing fellow board members and myself are doing the most so that we can still train and have as much fun as possible together.
