Please note: we have updated our membership application process as of 31.08.2026. If you have already filled in the previous Word document, you may still email it to the secretary at bestuur@uros.nl.
Before becoming an official member, you’re welcome to join three practices with no obligations. Everyone is welcome at UROS and our members’ experience levels vary widely. We have some top athletes, but plenty of members have joined simply for fun or to stay in shape. Whatever your reason, come and join the UROS family!
UM Sports Membership
To become a member of UROS, you’ll need both a UROS membership and a UM Sports membership, for a year or a semester. UM Sports offers three options:
- Sports – access to UM Sports’ sports programmes
- Gym – access to the gym at the UM Sports facility
- All in one – both of the above
Any of these memberships allow you to join UROS. Unfortunately, a monthly UM Sports membership doesn’t make you eligible to join an association; you’ll need a semester or yearly membership. A UM Sports membership is required because UM Sports and MUSST actively support and subsidise student sports associations, helping to keep sport accessible and affordable for all members. For more information, visit UM Sports or MUSST.
After this has been completed, the you can fill in the UROS membership form.
UROS Membership
- Practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Access to all club activities
- Excludes a one-off administration fee of €17,50
- Excludes UM Sports membership
- Excludes competition licence (optional)
€ 50,00 yearly (€32,00 if joining from February onwards)
*Please note: if you only wish to join for the autumn semester, you’ll still need to pay for the full year.
If you have any questions or run into a problem while filling the form in, feel free to email us at bestuur@uros.nl.
Competition Licence
If you’d like to take part in competitions, it’s worth requesting a competition licence in your application. All competition licences will be applied for by Atletiek Maastricht on our behalf, which is why we ask all members who think they might be interested to request a licence with their application and not later in the year. Requesting a licence automatically makes you a member of the Atletiekunie, the Dutch national track association. It’s mainly used at track meetings, like the National Student Championships (NSK), where we like to have a large group represent UROS. The licence costs €28,85 on top of your UROS and UM Sports subscriptions and is valid from 1 January to 31 December of the relevant calendar year. If you request the licence from 1 October, this costs €6,25 for the remaining months of that calendar year.
Code of Conduct
You can read the UM Sports and MUSST code of conduct here.
Membership Termination
Your membership will be automatically terminated by mid-July every year, unless you inform the UROS secretary (via bestuur@uros.nl) otherwise. You will receive reminders about this when the time comes. If you don’t inform the secretary before the deadline that you would like to have your membership continued, you will have to reapply and pay the administration fee again. If your details change within the course of your membership, please update them here.
Become an Alumnus
If you’d like to stay connected to UROS after your active membership ends, you can become an alumnus. You can find all the information here.
