Meet the 35th Board!

Bonjour à tous!

My name is Pierre Pasquis, I am 19 years old and this year I will be your President. Ah and I am obviously French. The less obvious part of me is that I am also half Dutch, indeed my mom is from the Netherlands but unfortunately, I neither speak nor understand the language. I am currently in my second year of my bachelor’s in International Business (yes, the German program) and it is also my second year in UROS.

My history with track and field started a long time ago, when I was 8 years old. I have tried other sports over the years but I always ended up just doing track so you could say that I am addicted to it. Having so much experience doesn’t mean that I am any good, I would even say the opposite. If I had to chose one event to do for the rest of my life it would be triple jump (the only event I am decent in, so…).

Outside of the track, you can find me enjoying a beer with friends (sometimes more like 10 but only on the days that end in “-day”), watching movies and series, I love hiking and from time to time I’ll be at the library when really needed to.

I am looking forward to the year ahead of us and seeing all of you all at training and events. Feel free to ask me any questions in person or by text!

Hi everyone! I am Lorraine van der Spek and I am really excited to be the Secretary of UROS this year. Let me start by telling you something about myself: I am 19 years old, Dutch and currently in my second year of International Business. This is my second year with UROS, so I hope to make even more fun memories together!

How did I fall in love with running? Well… it all started on the Canary Islands, where I have lived for 3 years. I decided to try athletics and loved it, so I did it for 1 year. When back in the Netherlands, I never even considered it, so I went for basketball instead. After quitting, I wanted to stay active and keep my endurance up, so I decided to try again and ever since, I cannot go a single week without running!

I am a long-distance runner, so I prefer to run everything over 5km and sometimes challenge myself with a 21 or even a 30km. on top of that, I love signing up for running events, such as my first ever marathon that I will be doing in May! I decided to join UROS, because I love running, but it can be demotivating and boring from time to time on your own and then I found this amazing and as the Dutchies would say ‘gezellige’ community.

Outside of the track you can find me working out, at salsa classes, cooking with friends or doing other fun things, partying and of course some studying is also needed once in a while.

I am really looking forward to another great year with you all and feel free to reach out to me via WhatsApp or email if you have any questions! Hope to see you all at practices/activities/NSK’s and all of the other fun things UROS organizes!

Hey everybody,

My name is Arne and I am going to be the Treasurer of UROS for the academic year 2025/26. Let’s start by giving a short introduction of myself: I‘m 21 years old, originally from Germany and currently studying Economics in my 2nd year as well as having been a member of UROS since my first semester.

As far as I can remember, track has always been a huge part of my life. Since I was around 4 or 5, I accompanied my mom to trainings, and eventually started athletics myself. Over time, I transitioned from multi-event competitions like pentathlons to purely short distance sprinting. What I really enjoyed as part of athletics were the competitions which I did competitively up until my final year of highschool.

Besides athletics I regularly work out in the in the UM Sports gym, read books, try to learn new baking recipes and meet up with friends.

I‘m extremely excited about this upcoming year and look forward to the competitions, parties and practices with you all!

Hello everyone!

I am Noémi and I am very excited to be your PR & Sponsoring Commissioner this year! I am 20 years old, Hungarian and German but I was born in the US and grew up mostly in Germany, close to Cologne. I am currently in my second year of Business Engineering and have done track competitively for over 8 years.

I am an active member in both UROS and Atletiek Maastricht but also still compete for my home club Cologne Athletics. My main events are the 100 and 200, though I also enjoy doing longjump and especially love the 4×100 and 4×200 relays. I spend a lot of time at the track, also outside of official training times, so if you feel like getting some extra sprint sessions in, give me a call!

Outside of practice I love going to the gym and spend a lot of time studying and at the library… But I also love going out, cooking and partying!

My all time favorite memories are the members weekends, training weekend and when we won the 4x200m relay at NSK Indoor! Hoping to repeat this soon 😉

I am beyond excited for this year and can’t wait to make it absolutely unforgettable!

Hi everyone!

My name is Julia and I’ll be your competition commissioner this year.

I started track and field more than 10 years ago, and ran my very first race at 6.

I am Swiss and Italian, born and raised in Geneva, and this is my third year both at UROS and studying European Public Health at FHML.

Over the years I’ve tried a bit of everything in athletics, but these days you’ll mostly find me training with the long distance group, even though I might join a technical session if jumps are on the schedule:) I’ve had to deal with a few setbacks lately, but I can’t wait to compete again.

One of my favorite memories with UROS is NSK Cross 2024 🙂 Outside of training, you’ll probably find me hanging out (and calling) friends, at the gym, or planning my next trip.

Looking forward to see you all at practice and competitions!
